Jake Paul has copped a brutal warning just hours from his fight with Mike Tyson, with revelations the Iron Mike has been “knocking out teeth”.

Jake Paul has been brutally warned that Mike Tyson is knocking out teeth in sparring for their fight.

The heavyweight legend makes his return after two decades out the ring to face YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul on Saturday (AEDT) in Texas.

He did take on fellow great Roy Jones Jr in a 2020 exhibition bout - and 6-1 cruiserweight Mike Russell was in Tyson’s camp.

But almost half a decade on and Russell warned Iron Mike has shaken off even more rust.

“I mean, he was already looking tremendous four years ago and now he’s peaked higher than a peak,” Russell said.

“Mike is ready to go and Mike is gonna go out there and he’s going to win spectacular.”

Russell, 31, has only ever got two black eyes from boxing, one when he was a teenager and the other from Tyson, 58.

But he revealed there has been far more damage caused than just a shiner.

Russell said: “We have a young buck that’s coming up right now, he did knock his tooth out but it wasn’t me!

“But yeah, Mike did knock someone’s tooth out in camp. He’s doing great, man.

“He’s gonna come out and he’s gonna win and what he gonna win by knockout. I’m telling you right now.”

Tyson returns for the first time as a professional since 2005 when he quit on his stool and threw the towel in on his career.

And he does so over eight two-minute rounds - opposed to the usual three - with bigger 14oz gloves on instead of 10oz.

But Russell insisted the rules change matters little as he doubts 10-1 Paul makes it into the third.

He said: “I think he’s gonna finish the job within the first two rounds.”

How much will Mike Tyson and Jake Paul make for the fight

The fight purses for Tyson and Paul have not been publicly revealed, however boxing industry experts have estimated Iron Mike will be earning roughly A$31 million for his part in the fight.

Meanwhile at a recent news conference, Paul declared he’s “here to make $40 million (A$62m) and knock out a legend”.

Tyson’s bizarre answer to ‘legacy’ question

Mike Tyson spoke to American content creator Jazzy (@iamjazzysworldtv), a 13-year-old with more than a million followers on Instagram and Tiktok.

One snippet of their chat has gone viral after Tyson gave a deep and maybe far too meaningful answer to a question.

Jazzy began: “In your return to the ring for this fight, you are setting a monumental opportunity for kids my age to see the legend Mike Tyson in the ring for the first time.

“After such a successful career, what type of legacy would you like to leave behind when it’s all said and done?”

Tyson replied: “I don’t know, I don’t believe in the word legacy.

“I just think that’s another word for ego. Legacy doesn’t mean nothing. That’s just some word everybody grabbed onto. Someone said that word and now it’s used every five seconds.

“It means absolutely nothing to me. I’m just passing through. I’m going to die and it’s going to be over. Who cares about legacy after that. (People think) ‘I’ve got a big ego so when I die I want people to think I’m this, I’m great’.

“(No that means) nothing, we’re just dead, we’re dust, we’re absolutely nothing. Our legacy is nothing.”

Jazzy seemed momentarily lost for words, before replying: “Well thank you so much for sharing, that is something I have not heard before, someone say that as an answer.”

But Tyson kept going, saying: “Can you really imagine someone saying, ‘I want my legacy to be this’ You’re dead! Do I really want to think about you?

“Who the f*** cares about me when I’m gone? My kids maybe, or my grandkids. Who cares.”
