There was rain, there was sun and there were some fabulous actions photographs taken on both days of the NSW Little Athletics championships.

From hurdles to sprinting and high jumping, photographers Julian Andrews and Jeremy Piper - who have shot some of the biggest events in port including the Olympic Games and NRL matches - were at the meet to capture some of the great moments and colour.

More than 2500 kids competed at the two-day event which returned to the sporting calendar after a Covi related absence.

The event catered to U9s to U17 athletes and many of them are competing in multiple events over the two days of competition at Sydney Olympic Park.

Many of the older athletes are using the championships to limber up for the upcoming Australian athletics championship at the same venue this month.
