There was sun, there was rain and there were great performances at the NSW Little Athletics championships. Check out the action photo gallery from the two day meet here.

Focus was the name of the game at the NSW Little Athletic's meet.

There was rain, there was sun and there were some fabulous actions photographs taken on both days of the NSW Little Athletics championships.

From hurdles to sprinting and high jumping, photographers Julian Andrews and Jeremy Piper - who have shot some of the biggest events in port including the Olympic Games and NRL matches - were at the meet to capture some of the great moments and colour.

There was plenty of action in the U9 long jump competition from this little winner.

More than 2500 kids competed at the two-day event which returned to the sporting calendar after a Covi related absence.

The event catered to U9s to U17 athletes and many of them are competing in multiple events over the two days of competition at Sydney Olympic Park.

Drew (10) and Bella (9) Cooney from Bowral with their beaded hair. Drew competed in shot put, triple jump, high jump and javelin. Bella competed in 100, 200, 70 sprints and shot put.

The Little Athletics championships were hailed a major success.

Many of the older athletes are using the championships to limber up for the upcoming Australian athletics championship at the same venue this month.
