Tennant Creek juniors Denise Davenport and Megan Pulumbarit, both 16, are two to watch out for in the women’s singles.

The duo were finalists in January’s NT Junior Eight Ball Championships with Denise coming out the winner then and will both represent the NT in the Australian Junior Championships.

Luke Ha, 12, will be one to look out for in the reserves with the young player showing growing skill and talent despite only being in the game for three years.

Tennant Creek president Richard Baker was pleased to see the titles return to his association.

“Basically after being stopped last year we’re just over the moon to get back to what we do best,” Baker said.

“The turnout has been really impressive, every centre is represented here and they’ve all bent over backwards to support us.

“It’s a real big thing for Tennant Creek to host once again, a real feather in the cap for us and we have great crowds as well.

“Tennant Creek has some fairly strong teams across all divisions. But I’m particularly excited to see my juniors play who everyone will have to watch out for.”
