COLLEEN Gwynne could not hold back a big smile after her Arnhem Crows won the 2020 Big Rivers Women’s Grand Final.
The grand final debutants beat Katherine South by 72 points in a dominant performance.
Their 13.15 (93) to 3.3 (21) win was a triumph for the community side and their coach.
Midfielder Ashanti Bush shook off the effects of Friday night’s NAB AFLW All Stars game when she won the best-on-ground medal.
The Buffettes young gun was also among the best on ground in her Team Ponter side’s 28-point victory in that match at TIO Stadium.
“They really came at us in the first quarter when we missed a number of shots in front of goal,” Gwynne said.
“But we corrected that in the second quarter by converting our opportunities into goals.”
Gwynne said the Crows were here to stay in a women’s competition that was starting to make its name in the Katherine region.
