Ben Simmons had fans across the league worried the Brooklyn Nets were on course to torch the league in his last outing.

On Saturday the Aussie star came crashing back to Earth with arguably the worst outing he’s produced so far in his career.

After leaving the NBA world in awe after an All-Star level outing against the Milwaukee Bucks, Simmons was at his worst against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The All-Star guard failed to stay on the court for more than 13 minutes as he racked up six fouls and was forced out of the contest.

Simmons’ sixth and final foul came 90 seconds into the third quarter, thankfully his Nets teammates picked up the slack and secured the 112-102 win.

Simmons ultimately finished the contest with a lacklustre box score of two points, two rebounds, six assists and six fouls.

Kyrie Irving topped the scoring for the Nets with 26 points on 8/17 shooting while Kevin Durant registered 20 points on 7/17 shooting.

Simmons put a bit of a target on his outing after scathing comments over his relationship, or lackthereof, with former Philadelphia teammate Joel Embiid came to light.

Despite the lowly outing, Simmons still produced some highlight plays in his minuscule time on the floor.

In the first quarter off a missed Rudy Gobert free throw, Simmons found a streaking Kyrie Irving with a perfectly placed full court pass.

Then early in the second he secured his only points of the night off of a floating right hand hook that banked off the glass.

Elsewhere on the final night of the NBA pre-season, Aussie rookie Dyson Daniels produced a Sportscenter worthy play.

In the fourth quarter, the New Orleans Pelicans youngster stopped Atlanta Hawks’ AJ Griffin’s dunk attempt in its tracks.

As Griffin streaked down the floor on the fast break, Daniels sat in the paint just waiting for the moment to launch.

Daniels timed it to perfection as he met Griffin at the room and swatted the dunk attempt away.
