Zion Williamson’s time in New Orleans could be cut short amid the fallout from the drama in his personal life.

It now appears that Williamson, who is heading into a the first of a five-year $US194.3m ($A285m) deal from next year with escalators up to $US231m ($A339m), is on the trading block.

It comes amid reports the Pelicans star’s apparent girlfriend Ahkeema announced they are expecting a baby girl, adult film star Moriah Mills claimed in a Twitter rant that she had sexual relations with Williamson as recently as last week, the NY Post reports.

The 2019 No. 1 NBA Draft pick and two-time All-Star has played just 114 of a possible 328 regular season games across four seasons, including missing the entirety of the 2021-22 season recovering from a surgically repaired right foot fracture.

Williamson was one of the hottest prospects coming out of his college career with Duke but has struggled to stay on the court.

And now it appears as though the Pelicans will look to leverage the big money star to move up in the 2023 NBA Draft order, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

During a Wednesday appearance on Get Up, Windhorst said New Orleans “really would like to move up” in the draft as the team is potentially hunting a star-caliber player, such as Scoot Henderson.

The cost of moving up for Henderson would be steep.

“The Pelicans have had some cursory discussions from what I’ve been told,” Windhorst said. “There haven’t been any offers made necessarily yet, but it makes you really not take too far of a leap to wonder… and the league is certainly wondering if the Pelicans are going to make for the first time truly Zion Williamson available ahead of next week’s draft.”

Windhorst also mentioned how Williamson’s injury history, and how the former first-overall pick has been immersed in “off-season drama” — seemingly referring to his alleged love triangle.

Windhorst’s report came after The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported on Wednesday that New Orleans could consider moving Williamson in a trade to acquire the highly-touted prospect Henderson.

The Pelicans are going after Henderson, who they view as a potential franchise guard and culture builder, according to Charania.

New Orleans is reportedly having conversations with the Hornets about potentially getting Charlotte’s No. 2 pick in the draft.

However, the Hornets are apparently high on Henderson, who averaged 16.5 points and 6.8 assists last season with the G League Ignite, as well.

Charlotte hosted Henderson for a pre-draft workout on Sunday.

Charania also questioned if the Pelicans will “look hard internally” at moving Williamson in a pre-draft deal, as their core has been unable to stay healthy.

Mills is also not impressed by the news as the OnlyFans model and former adult film star continued to badger Williamson on Twitter.

“Fake trade news to deflect enjoy fatherhood @Zionwilliamson you betrayed me I’m done,” Mills tweeted Wednesday.

“Great pr move or move and your [baby mama] paying blogs to bash me is cool to I don’t have pr just got caught in the crossfire and feelings thanks.”

Mills has tweeted over the past week that Williamson offered to fund a move for her to New Orleans, and said that she was bedridden after suffering from complications from butt reduction surgery for several months, during which time Williamson and his girlfriend apparently conceived their child.

“Not sure why everyone thinks I was finessing @Zionwilliamson he literally wanted to give me his money and spoil me I never asked for anything from him stop pushing fake narratives. Men spend money on women they like simple not rocket science,” Mills tweeted Tuesday night.

“Finding out your man had a baby on you is worse than cheating. My stress level are on ten !!!! Don’t wish this on no one I promise @Zionwilliamson wish would of told me last week all of this could of been avoided the lies.”
