North Melbourne defender Toby Pink and his new wife Chloe have opened up about their perfect secret wedding last month.
The couple, together for over seven years, decided on March 8 to go to the courthouse and make it official.
“We were both so casual about it that Toby was planning to train that morning, but when he told Clarko (coach Alastair Clarkson), he was told to take the morning off,’’ Chloe said.
“It was so beautiful and really intimate.”
The Pinks did a first look in the Treasury Gardens before heading to the marriage registry.
Toby was emotional throughout the day but regained his composure to embrace his bride, who wore a stunning white gown by d’Italia with content creation on the day by Your Day by Ruby.
“Afterwards, Toby and I had a private moment together and spent two hours at Maison Batard, just the two of us, having a cocktail,’’ Chloe said.
“Later, we joined our immediate family and friends for a mini reception. Right before getting out of the car for the first look, I sent a message in the WAGS group chat saying “I’m about to walk down the aisle”.”
Chloe said the other partners had a feeling they’d elope so Kate Lawrence Parker (wife of Luke Parker) and Courtney Darling (wife of Jack) had hosted a Melbourne hen’s for her.
She said the couple revealed their happy news at a North Melbourne club function a week later.
“An hour before it started we announced that we’d gotten married and continued celebrating,’’ she said.
