The first was a regulation set shot, with Garlett nailing the goal from 30m out. He followed the goal with a special tribute, kissing his bicep and pointing to the sky.
The third was a dribble shot from an impossible angle, which took a giant leg-break in the goalsquare only to slam into the goalpost.

The middle attempt was the one we will be talking about for a while. On Twitter it was dubbed “point of the year”.
A freshly clean-cut Garlett skipped away from the Power defenders with a blinding burst of pace, taking two bounces to run to within five metres of goal.
Then he somehow slammed his kick into the post.

It brought back memories of Josh Bruce’s incredible miss from similar range in Tasmania earlier this year.
