Every KFC SuperCoach score from Victoria v All Stars: GWS Giants star Josh Kelly sends reminder of his quality

Remember me? Josh Kelly sent a reminder of his quality to KFC SuperCoaches in the AFL’s bushfire relief match with a superb display which is set to send his ownership through the roof.

Josh Kelly put SuperCoaches on notice with a dazzling display for Victoria in Friday’s Bushfire relief match.

The GWS Giants star, who averaged 117.4 from 14 matches last season, has been overlooked by thousands of coaches in favour of fellow big guns Patrick Cripps ($635,900, 51 per cent), Nat Fyfe ($651,600, 37 per cent), Lachie Neale ($658,500, 35 per cent) and Jack Macrae ($668,900, 29 per cent).

Of the 11 midfielders worth more than $600,000, only Collingwood’s Adam Treloar ($615,800, eight per cent) features in less teams than Kelly ($637,700, 11 per cent).

However, Kelly’s ownership will almost certainly spike after he was one of four players who posted tons in Victoria’s 46-point victory over the All Stars.

Despite only featuring in 63 per cent game time, Kelly racked up 22 disposals and bagged four goals to score 102 points.

He was awarded best on ground by Nick Riewoldt and Luke Hodge, but finished four behind best on ground Dustin Martin in medal voting.

Toby Greene (109) and Martin (103) were the only players who scored more points than Kelly, while Giants skipper Stephen Coniglio (101) was the only All Star in triple figures.

Kelly’s total was the equivalent of 129.5 KFC SuperCoach points in 80 per cent game time and 145.7 SuperCoach points in 90 per cent.

While his durability is a concern after only playing 29 games in the past two seasons, Kelly has 18 KFC SuperCoach tons in that time – including 11 last year and a stretch of nine consecutive hundreds from rounds 6 to 16.

Coniglio ($549,500, MID) will be back on the radar of coaches after he showed his scoring potential won’t be diminished by spending greater time in attack.

The Giants have floated a 60-40 midfield forward split for their skipper, who registered 24 possessions and kicked two goals in 61 per cent time on ground.

Greene ($510,100, FWD) is the sixth most-expensive forward after increasing his average to 93.9 last year when he relished greater midfield time.
