AFL 2024: Live updates, SuperCoach scores for Super Sunday of round 10
Harley Reid has inflicted instant regret on the thousands of SuperCoaches who traded him out with an incredible game against Melbourne. See all Sunday’s SuperCoach news here.

Don't miss out on the headlines from SuperCoach. Followed categories will be added to My News.
A late Sunday West Coast v Melbourne game proved to be SuperCoach prime time.
Coaches were glued to the screen, and live scores, watching Harley Reid’s runaway numbers and Max Gawn power home after a very slow start.
That followed a crazy comeback win from Port Adelaide and an Essendon victory against North Melbourne that provided some big talking points.
Here are three SuperCoach takeaways from Super Sunday.
KING HARLEY
Can all three of these takeaways be about Harley Reid? The No.1 draft pick was traded out of more than 38,000 SuperCoach teams last week ... and that decision doesn’t look like such a great idea after he tore the Demons to shred
Scroll down for all the highlights, but a massive centre clearance goal and another burst out of the middle fending off Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca were right up there.
He finished with 136 SuperCoach points. Hopefully those trades were worth it.
SHEEZ, HE’S ALL RIGHT
Harry Sheezel became a headache for his 102,000 owners with back-to-back scores under 90 after a move to a mid-forward role. The Kangaroos jet said during the week he was enjoying the shift even if it meant fewer disposals, but it didn’t take long for them to come. Against the Bombers he had a game-high 32 plus nine marks and six inside-50s to post 117 SuperCoach points.
The player who took his half-back role, Zac Fisher, scored 116 to present as a genuins trade-in option this week.
Actually, maybe straight away #SuperCoachhttps://t.co/IJyDQ3TYBe

ZAK ATTACK
Like his team, Zak Butters was only just going over the first three quarters against Hawthorn. But Butters sparked an insane Power comeback in the final quarter, winning 16 disposals including the centre clearance that led to Darcy Byrne-Jones’ final-second matchwinner. Butters is fast making a name for himself as a big-occasion player – the type the SuperCoach scorers love.
What. A. Game.

Zak Butters was huge in that final term:
15 disposals (11 effective)
7 contested possessions
5 clearances
5 inside 50s
1 tackle

Finished with 127 SC and 110 AFLF.#AFLPowerHawks

8:55PM: EAGLES WIN
What a huge day out west.
West Coast win by 35 points on the back of five goals from Jake Waterman and a massive day from Harley Reid.
He finishes on 136 SuperCoach points, one of eight Eagles over 100.
Clayton Oliver (124) was the topscoring Demon ahead of Max Gawn, who recovered from a very slow start – he had one point late in the first term – to finish on 113.
8:45PM: HUGE UPSET LOOMING
We’ve been focusing on the SuperCoach scores – Max Gawn is up to 105 – but West Coast in on track for a huge boilover.
The Eagles lead by 30 points with seven minutes left.
And West Coast has made a late sub call with Tyrell Dewar injected into the game in place of Luke Edwards.
8:35PM: EAGLES SUPER POD STRIKES AGAIN
Jake Waterman is still in just 1 per cent of SuperCoach teams, but is it time we start seriously considering him as a top-six forward contender?
He has another five goals today and 130 points and counting, backing up scores of 176, 107, 116 and 92 in his past four games.
Considering his average of 64 last season was a career-high this has come from the clouds, but you can only go on current form.
Speaking of form, Clayton Oliver has cracked 100 SuperCoach points and Max Gawn is on 94 with 12 minutes to play.
8:25PM: THREE QUARTER-TIME
Another insane quarter from Harley Reid – he has 19 disposals, two goals and 122 SuperCoach points for the game.
That was a big term from Max Gawn, too, who has 82 with a quarter to play.
He has scored 111 in his past two matches – can he make it three in a row?
8:19: KING HARLEY
Could this crowd love Harley Reid any more?
He has another goal after winning a one-on-one contest, strolling into the square and booting the footy into the top tier of Optus Stadium.
And just for good measure he goes back into the middle and wins the next centre clearance.
8:04PM: JUST OUTRAGEOUS FROM HARLEY REID
After two quick Melbourne goals Harley Reid logs another ridiculous highlight with a huge centre clearance that involved fending off Clayton Oliver then Christian Petracca.
Oh, and his kick hit Jack Darling for a goal.
Reid has smashed through the 100-SuperCoach barrier halfway through the third quarter.
Just wow.
Just Harley Reid fending off Clayton Oliver AND Christian Petracca, no big deal...

7:52PM: EAGLES WON’T LIE DOWN
West Coast opens the second half with two quick goals including a ripper from Reuben Ginbey.
Melbourne is going to have to fight for this one.
7:28pm: HALFTIME
That quarter was much more Max Gawn-like – unfortunately, he was starting with a huge handicap after his very quiet Q1 and sits on 39 points at the main break.
But the big story here is Harley Reid, who is making every SuperCoach who traded him out regret their decision with a monster first half – 13 disposals (at 85 per cent efficiency), six contested possessions, three clearances, two tackles, four inside-50s and 76 SuperCoach points.
Could we trade him back in ...

7:13PM: DEES GO BANG, BANG, BANG
Melbourne has sprung to life with three goals in as many minutes.
The third came from an absolute Ben Brown floater from the boundary line that somehow wobbled right through the middle.
The play started with a hitout to advantage from Max Gawn from the centre bounce.
He’s sitting on 28 SuperCoach points midway through the second term.
Jamie Cripps is the leading scorer on the ground with 61 and Harley Reid has 50.
6:58PM: IRON MIKE BACKING EAGLES
It’s not just the diehard fans in Optus Stadium cheering the Eagles on this afternoon.

6:55PM: QUARTER TIME
OK, we didn’t see this coming.
The Eagles have a 14-point lead at quarter-time and Harley Reid has 42 SuperCoach points at the first change.
That’s the same Harley Reid who was traded out of 38,000 teams before this weekend.
Meanwhile, Max Gawn has just 12 points to his name.
And the thousands who have the C on Max can thank some late touches for even getting into double figures.
The Demons also have some early injury worries with Jake Lever (concussion) subbed out, replaced by Taj Woewodin.
6:40PM: HARLEY GOES BANG, WHERE’S MAX?
Harley Reid storms out of the centre square, takes two bounces and kicks an absolute ripper!
The Eagles have jumped Melbourne here, and a big surprise – Max Gawn is getting completely outplayed in the ruck early.
He has just one effective disposal and ONE SUPERCOACH POINT late in the first quarter.

6:27PM: EAGLES STRIKE FIRST
We’re underway in the final game of the round and the Eagles have the first goal of the game through Jake Waterman.
Plenty of SuperCoaches are riding Max Gawn here, just under 49 per cent of coaches in the top 10 per cent have the captaincy on the Demons skipper.
6:20PM: FULL-TIME SUPERCOACH SCORES
An unbelievable game from Blake Hardwick wasn’t enough for the Hawks.
Zak Butters was huge late, scoring 59 points in the final quarter.
6:07PM: POWER FROM NOWHERE!
Port Adelaide has pulled off one of the most remarkable wins in recent times.
Willie Rioli kicked a goal to cut the margin to five points with 22 seconds left, then after a big Zak Butters clearance Darcy Byrne-Jones soccered the winning goal as the final second ticked off the game clock.
Incredible scenes.
The Power was 41 points down early and all but dead and buried.
Heartbreak for the Hawks.

5:53PM: HERE COMES PORT ADELAIDE
The margin is back to 12 points and Hawthorn has the wobbles big time.
BT: “I wouldn’t say the wheels have fallen off but they aren’t turning all that well.”
Zak Butters is in absolutely everything.
5:40PM: BUTTERS GETTING BUSY
Zak Butters is lifting, can he bring the Power with him?
He has had six disposals in the final term and jumped to 91 SuperCoach points.
The margin is 22 points with 11 minutes left. Plenty of time if Port is good enough!
5:30PM: SUBS NAMED FOR EAGLES v DEES
Final team sheets are in for the final game of the round and there are no late changes for either team.
Tyrell Dewar is West Coast’s sub and Taj Woewodin will start as the sub for Melbourne.
5:23PM: THREE QUARTER-TIME SUPERCOACH LEADERS
Dan Houston and Jason Horne-Francis have cracked the ton for the Power.
Zak Butters lifted late in that term to get to 67 points with a quarter to go.
Hawthorn has activated its sub at the start of the final quarter with Luke Breust coming into the game for Changkuoth Jiath
5:17PM: HOUSTON HAS THREE
Dan Houston is having a big afternoon.
He boots his third goal to jump to 111 SuperCoach points before three quarter-time.
Port Adelaide has closed the margin to 28 points – is that close enough?
5:05PM: HARDWICK HAS FIVE
Blake Hardwick, who made his name at full-back, has kicked his fifth goal and has 116 SuperCoach points halfway through the third quarter. Crazy!
Hawthorn has adapted to the wet conditions better than Port – Zak Butters has one kick for the quarter.
4:50PM: THE RAIN HAS ARRIVED
The second half is underway in very different conditions after the heavens opened at Adelaide Oval.
This is going to make Port Adelaide’s job even tougher.
4:30PM: HALFTIME SUPERCOACH LEADERS
A better quarter for Port Adelaide’s SuperCoach stars, and an interesting battle in the ruck with Lloyd Meek edging Dante Visentini 55 points to 51.
Visentini is holding Jordon Sweet out of the side and based on this performance he doesn’t look like heading back to the SANFL any time soon.
4:20PM: PORT HAS WOKEN UP
Port has kicked three goals in the second term but Hawthorn is equal to the challenge, booting two of its own to maintain a handy lead.
Jason Horne-Francis is leading the charge for the Power with 57 SuperCoach points, while Zak Butters has 40 nearing halftime.
4:15PM: HEART SCARE FOR WINES
Port Adelaide has confirmed Ollie Wines has been subbed out after suffering heart palpitations.
We’ll have more details as they emerge but this is a big story regarding the Brownlow medallist.
Big story for Port - Ollie Wines subbed out - didnât appear to be a collision as such but called for doctor to attend him.
— Braden Ingram (@bradeningram) May 19, 2024
Doc then checked his chest with stethoscope before he was subbed.
Has managed heart issues as recently as 2022. Awaiting club update. @9NewsAdel
4:10PM: ANOTHER PORT BLOW: WINES OUT
Ollie Wines has taken his jumper off on the bench and looks done for the day.
Port Adelaide’s sub Brandon Zerk-Thatcher is warming up and about to enter the game as Dan Houston kicks the Power’s second goal for the game.
They are coming from a long way back, Hawthorn has seven goals on the board and is looking awesome.
EARLY SUPERCOACH LEADERS
Four-goal first-quarter hero Blake Hardwick leads all SuperCoach scorers at quarter-time – great news for his 1000 owners!
When it comes to more popular picks, Zak Butters has 22 points, level with Hawks first-gamer Ethan Phillips.
Willie Rioli has -4 points.
3:44pm: CROWD IN SHOCK
Port Adelaide has its first goal at the 25-minute mark of the first term through Jason Horne-Francis. Brian Taylor: “The crowd here is shocked. I would describe them as stunned.”
The Hawks have four goals on the board and it should have been five with Calsher Dear missing a sitter from 15m out.
3.30pm: HAWKS’ FAST START
Hawthorn has the first three goals of the second Sunday game against Port Adelaide through Cam Mackenzie, Blake Hardwick and Mabior Chol. Willie Rioli has backed up his double 50 last weekend by giving away an early 50m penalty today.
