Majak Daw will make his long-awaited return to senior football in North Melbourne’s opening pre-season clash against the Bulldogs on Friday night.
Daw did not play at AFL level in 2019 after suffering serious injuries to his hips and pelvis when he fell from the Bolte Bridge in December 2018.

He made an emotional return via the VFL last year, where he played four games.
New North Melbourne coach Rhyce Shaw confirmed today Daw will make his return at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.
He’ll be joined by recruits Aiden Bonar and Josh Walker, who will play their first games for their new club.

“I’m really proud and happy to say Maj will play tomorrow night and it’s going to be a really exciting time for him and his family and for the club,” Shaw said.
“It’s been a long journey for him and he’s really put his head down and stuck to his task and really reeducated himself on what it takes to be an AFL footballer.
“He’s done that and he’s built up really well.
“He knows he’s in for a tough battle with our backline – no one’s given a game – so he’s got to perform but we’re really pleased with where he’s at right now.”
Meanwhile, St Kilda will unveil a host of new faces in the Marsh Series opener against Hawthorn tonight.
High-profile recruits Bradley Hill, Paddy Ryder and Dougal Howard will all play their first games for the Saints, while former Tiger Dan Butler will also make his first appearance.
