On-baller Isaac Seden-Kurnoth is one of those players.
The tough inside midfielder – who was the NT News’ Round 8 Rising Star nominee last season and fullback in the NT News’ 2020 NRL NT Team of the Year – was a standout last Saturday.
He finished with 13 disposals in Darwin’s 27-point win over Southern Districts.

“Isaac is an exciting talent. He’s come off a big season in rugby league (helping Brothers to the 2020 NRL NT premiership). He’s not a big boy but he’s really tough with that rugby league background,” Stokes told the NT News.
“He’s really coachable and he’ll do anything you tell him to do for the team.”
That’s not to say Buffaloes’ senior players also didn’t step up in their win over the Crocodiles.
“Jarrod Stokes, Shaun Ahmat and Michael Coombes all stood up, and Ryan Pendlebury down back was all class,” Stokes said.
“Jarrod put a lot of work into his pre-season and he’s really fit at the moment.
“He’s at his explosive best, brings great experience with his stoppage pressure and can kick goals, too.”
Stokes is expecting a big challenge from Palmerston after the Magpies’ massive 73-point win over Tiwi last Saturday.
“They’re always tough, especially with their big ruck combination and that showed on the weekend,” Stokes said.
“But I’m happy with our ruck combination.
“And I’ve got confidence in our guys with big Chris Atkinson and Lachy McKenzie who’s been pinch hitting and doing an excellent job.”
