NORTH Melbourne coach Brad Scott expects Robbie Tarrant to be available to take on in-form Gold Coast forward Tom Lynch on Saturday.
Tarrant rolled his ankle early in the Kangaroos win over Fremantle but played out the game.
The defender wasn’t on track for the start of his side’s training session on Thursday but later emerged and took part in the session, with Scott optimistic his defender will be available.
Lynch is leading the Coleman medal race with 18 goals from four games this season.
“He’s got to get through a training session but all indications are good so far — I doubt whether we’ll make any changes,” Scott said.
“We’ve certainly got a lot of options that we’ll talk through, but as the cliché goes, it’s hard to change a winning team.
“ ... We think he’ll be OK. When he rolled his ankle it would be more of a concern if he couldn’t come back on the ground and it was really sore.

“He played the second half and performed really well. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get up.”
Scott said should Tarrant not play, Lachie Hansen was the most likely replacement.
“We’d like to get him in, but we’ll see how Robbie pulls up,” he said.
Forward Drew Petrie sent a scare through the Kangaroos camp during Thursday’s training session when left the track unhappy, appearing to be troubled by his right knee.
He was assessed inside the club before returning to the track to train but still appeared
uncomfortable.
