AFL 2023: What the players have been up to over in the bye round

Parties? Weddings? Camping? AFL players travelled far and wide to enjoy their time off in many different ways over the bye weekend. See what they got up to in pictures.

Weddings, parties, anything.

The mid-season bye presents a prime opportunity for a getaway as weather in the southern states starts to turn and AFL players have wasted no time in making the most of their brief one-round bye weekend.

Not least Saints speedster Bradley Hill, who revealed on Instagram that he and now-wife Samantha had eloped.

In an intimate ceremony by the beach with toddler daughter Harriet on hand to witness mum and dad’s big step, the pair were married with only a few in attendance, including Hill’s former Hawthorn teammate Dallas Willsmore.

A big congratulations to the pair, who shared the news with the simple caption of “The Hills” on social media.

The bye weekend has meant many players have hit the links, with a crew of Cats heading to King Island via light plane for a hit, while Irishman Oisin Mullin has opted for the warmer clime of Noosa.

Check out what AFL players have been up to over the first couple of bye weeks in the slide show below.
