BEACHSIDE suburb Nightcliff is one of the Top End’s most in demand suburbs, according to a recent property report.
Realestate.com.au’s Australian Property Market April Report listed the Top 10 in demand suburbs across Darwin.
The ranking is based on property views per suburb on the website over the past six months.
Ryan Lucas and his fiancee moved into their dream home, a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house for $595,000 in Nightcliff six weeks ago.

After living nearby for a year, the couple decided it was time to find a place to settle.
“We love the area and the lifestyle,” he said.
“We lived in Rapid Creek for a year before moving here so we had a fairly good idea of what the area was like. We looked at a few houses in Alawa and further out but we were set out and keen on this area.
“We take the dogs to the beach, frequent the cafes. We also figured the property value will hold pretty well.”
Mr Lucas looked forward to the suburb’s growth in the future.
“We’re looking forward to being apart of the new development on Dick Ward Dr and Progress Dr,” he said.
“It’ll help lift the suburb’s profile.”

Raine & Horne agent Adam Gulliford said Nightcliff was popular with buyers.
“It’s the number one area where everyone wants to buy in the northern suburbs,” he said.
“You don’t see a huge amount of Nightcliff houses coming onto the market and when they do, the interest is through the roof.
“For a three bedroom Nightcliff house in $600,000 range to come on the market, is very rare.”
Mr Gulliford said the suburb was economically attractive.
“With the market at its current point, more people can afford to purchase there,” he said.
“It’s percentage drop is performing better than the rest of the market.”
