They get the best glimpses of Sydney and NSW, from water views to cliff backdrops and vistas of rolling hills brimming with forests.
After examining properties across the state, the Sunday Telegraph’s real estate experts have ranked the homes with the best views based on a combination of wow factor and orientation.
Uninterrupted views and panoramic scenes were also weighted highly, along with elevation.
With their rare outlooks over the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, exclusive waterfront properties dotted across the eastern suburbs and north shore appeared prominently on the list.
Property in Dover Heights, one of the only suburbs in Sydney where it was possible to have dual views over the ocean and the world famous sights of the Harbour and CBD, was ranked number one.
Sotheby’s Sydney director Michael Pallier, one of Australia’s top estate agents, said the elevated suburb north of Bondi was growing in popularity but still “undervalued” considering the views.
Mr Pallier, with agent Louisa Dickson, is currently selling a house on Wallangra Rd in Dover Heights with a guide of about $12 million and said such prices paled in comparison to other eastern suburbs.
“The really, really expensive views are in Point Piper. It’s got the gun barrel views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Nothing is in your way. It’s the full Sydney experience,” he said.
