Gold Coast housing prices skyrocket

A LUXURY tower aimed at Covid-19 lockdown escapees will be built on a waterfront site overlooking Currumbin Alley in the latest major change coming to Palm Beach’s light rail corridor.

Prolific southern Gold Coast developer Sherpa Property Group has unveiled plans for Perspective Nexus, a 14-storey residential complex at the southern tip of Palm Beach which will have 34 units, all of which come with a home office.

Sherpa boss Christie Leet said the towers units had been designed for “maximum liveability” catering to what buyers were seeking as a result of Covid-19 lockdowns and the need to work from home.

“We are very excited to begin unveiling this project in such a unique and highly sought-after location,” he said.

“Lifestyle is the driving force behind the design, which rejects the more traditional quantity-over-quality approach to Gold Coast high-rise apartment development.

“True luxury is unrestrained lifestyle — doing what you love and engaging with life in natural surroundings while enjoying the ease and convenience in absolute comfort,” he said. “It’s all about how you want to live your life.”

Perspective Nexus will have 29 three-bedroom units, two penthouses and three three-level “skyhomes”.

The units, which ranging size from 235 sqm to 560 sqm, will cost between $1.45 million and $6.5 million.

Palm Beach has been at the epicentre of the property buy-up with several projects fast-tracked to keep pace with the city’s hot real estate market.

Sherpa in April announced it would begin construction this year on its Perspective 488 beachfront block after an influx of inquiries.

It is also planning to build Perspective Two Sea – a sister tower – on a neighbouring site, and is expected to unveil a new tower in the city’s north within days.
