Bulman School’s new playground comes with a solid shade structure and cost $380,000.

And the $500,000 worth of works at Mutitjulu School will see the current playground demolished and a new one installed.

The outback school will also get a new shade structure, artificial grass, and a concrete pathway.

Education Minister Mark Monaghan said the upgrades were an important part of “backing” NT students and teachers.

“Every child, no matter where they live deserve great school infrastructure and a supportive learning environment,” he said.

“These upgrades follow the Lawler Labor Governments $1 billion landmark education deal which will open up a new era of opportunities for Territory kids.”

Casuarina Street Primary School, Birany Birany Bay Homeland School, and Wanguri Primary School will also receive infrastructural upgrades, including shade sails, solid shade structures, disability ramps, stairs, and wall upgrades to buildings and classrooms.

The federal government has also committed $8 million to deliver infrastructure projects across several of the NT’s public schools.
