King Charles has embarked on a surprising new health regime to ensure he is in top condition ahead of his highly anticipated tour of Australia.

Enjoying his beloved outdoors and cuddles from the royal grandkids are just what the doctor ordered for King Charles to ensure the monarch is in top physical form ahead of his tour down under.
A royal insider told the Mirror the king had been urged to take a holistic approach to his health in the wake of his cancer treatment to ensure he will be up to the rigours of a taxing journey to and tour of Australia.
The insider said King Charles been sure to “get lots of fresh air and encourage family visits” and had even been “persuaded to be mindful of pacing his diary”.
“The King, by his very nature, is a workaholic. If he’s not on public engagements, he is working on the next set while staying across his government papers or responding to correspondence,” the source told the Mirror.
“He hasn’t really slowed down despite the protests from those around him, but it has been important to him to remain to be seen.
“Even during his treatment he was keen to make sure things were in place for him to make a full time return.
“Now things are moving in a very positive direction which has enabled him to make long term plans.”
Despite his desire to continue with a steady stream of public engagements, the king is understood to have had a restful summer in his beloved Scotland.
King Charles and Queen Camilla will undertake a tour of Australia and Samoa from Friday October 18 to Saturday October 26.
The king has been a frequent and most welcome guest in Australia, visiting 15 times while he was prince.
The monarch even spent two terms at the Timbertop school in Victoria as a teenager.
Highlights of the upcoming trip will include visits to the Australian War Memorial and a fleet review of the Royal Australian Navy in Sydney Harbour.
