A stunning beauty who shocked the world after apparently jumping from her New York apartment was revealed to have flown on Jeffrey Epstein’s so-called ‘Lolita Express’ as an aspiring teen model.
Ruslana Korshunova, dubbed the “Russian Rapunzel” for her long, flowing brown hair, was named in unsealed court documents as flying to Little St James as an 18-year-old in 2006.
The green-eyed beauty was discovered at 15 in a feature story on her hometown of Almaty, in Kazakhstan.
“She looked like something out of a fairytale,” Debbie Jones, a booker from London’s Model 1, told British Vogue of her discovery.
The IMG cover model featured in campaigns for Marc Jacobs, DKNY, Vera Wang and Nina Ricci and flew to Esptein’s Caribbean island during the height of her fame, appearing at Fashion Week and on the cover of Vogue.
Two years later, the 20-year-old fell to her death from her Wall Street apartment building in an apparent suicide, with her ex-boyfriend telling The New York Post at the time she had kept problems “bottled up”.
“I think she just gave up,” said Artem Perchenok, 24, who was with Korshunova the night she cut a hole in construction mesh covering the ninth-floor balcony of her Wall Street apartment.
Her trip to the island on June 7 came just weeks before Epstein was arrested and later convicted of sex with minors, the Post reported.
Years after her death, lawyers for Epstein’s Australian-based accuser Virginia Giuffre asked whether she had met Korshunova.
“I am sorry to hear the news of Ruslana, and my condolences are with her family and friends,” Ms Giuffre replied in the emails, published in the newly-unsealed court documents
“I can say that I have never had any meetings with her, sorry not to be of any help there.”
VIRGINIA GIUFFRE PLEADED WITH FBI TO HELP NAB ‘MONSTERS’
Emails released as part of the Epstein document dump, and first reported by The Daily Mail, showed Virginia Giuffre pleaded with the FBI to put Epstein, “and the many other monsters”, behind bars.
Reaching out to agent Jason Richards, Giuffre said she had returned to the United States from Australia in 2014 to Epstein’s sweetheart “non-prosecution agreement” thrown out.
“Trying to get ahold of any photos and/or video recordings released by the FBI to assist our case further in proving how much pedophilia occurred by Jeffrey and the many other monsters he obliged w underage girls,” Ms Giuffre wrote in the email.
Mr Richards said he couldn’t release information from FBI records, and directed her to make a Freedom of Information Act request.
EPSTEIN’S SHOCK ACT WITH TEEN GIRL
Alleged sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein stripped a teenage victim without her consent, according to previously secret court documents.
In testimony to the court the victim, whose name has not been released, said she was aged between 15 and 17 when Epstein had sex with her.
Multiple witnesses have described how Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial, used “massages” as a pretext to lure underage girls into having sexual relations with him.
The documents, which were part of a defamation case that victim Virginia Giuffre brought against Epstein’s madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, were unsealed this morning by a US Federal Court judge in New York.
“Jeffrey took my clothes off without my consent the first time I met him,” the victim said during a deposition.
Asked by a lawyer if Epstein used sex toys during the massages, the victim said: “Well, at that point, it’s no longer a massage.”
“Something else is going on. But, yes, he would take out adult toys and different things.”
Epstein also encouraged girl-on-girl sex and asked her to live with him, saying she should be emancipated from her parents, she said.
She said the first time she went to Epstein’s house he took her upstairs to his master bedroom for what she believed was to be a non-sexual massage.
“It certainly didn’t involve any sexual activity,” she said.
“That’s what I was under the assumption. I don’t recall exactly how I was propositioned to get there. I just was there, and all of a sudden something horrible happened to me.”
Police investigators found that just one of between 30 and 33 girls who Ghislaine Maxwell procured to give massages to Epstein had any massage experience.
In evidence to the court, former Palm Beach police detective Joseph Recarey said that the majority of the girls, who he interviewed during his investigation, were under 18 – but the one who had massage experience was older.
Epstein also paid the victims to recruit their friends, he said.
He said that the 30 victims described a similar scenario when asked about the massages.
“When the victims would come into the home and were brought upstairs to provide the massage, Epstein would lay on his massage table, where they would start to rub his back and the back of his legs,” he said.
“Epstein would either attempt to fondle the girls or touch the girls inappropriately, and at which point he would masturbate.
“And when he was done, he would get up and go wash off while the girls would get dressed and go back downstairs and get paid.
“When they went to perform a massage, it was for sexual gratification.”
Det Recarey died in 2019.
