The dramatic moment a woman crashed her car into a back pool has been caught on tape.
The chaos unfolded in suburban Thornlie, in Perth’s southeast, on Tuesday evening.
A 25-year-old woman is alleged to have been drunk and unlicensed before getting behind the wheel of the vehicle.
When her car somehow careened off the road and through a fence, it nosedived into the pool before sinking quickly.
Luckily, two heroic neighbours sprung into action and jumped into the water in a rescue effort.
The men, Ed and Adam, were forced to smash the car’s window with a brick to pull the woman to safety.
“She was in full panic mode. Adam was on one side talking to her (saying) ‘get away from the window,” Ed told Nine News.
“She’d be dead now. I’m just really pleased she’s okay, that’s the most important thing.”
The woman behind the wheel has been charged with drunk driving.
