A young boy has died after a car accident in country Western Australia on the weekend.

A young boy has died after a car accident in country Western Australia over the weekend.

Western Australia police said the child, 7, was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital on Saturday after a car crash in Kondidin.

The child died in hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

Police are still appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to help with their inquiries into the accident.

They said that shortly after 4pm on Saturday a Nissan Navara ute was travelling north on Williams Kondidin Rd where, near Young Rd, when it struck a tree.
