A young man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed while out for a run in Reservoir in the latest brazen daylight attack in Melbourne.
Police are hunting for an unknown offender who rushed a 24-year-old man and stabbed him in the abdomen on Spring St, Reservoir just before 8am on Friday.
The victim had just attended an Anzac Day Dawn Service with his family before heading out on a run when the offender launched at him.
The attacker quickly fled the scene after knifing the victim, leaving him with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
CCTV footage captured the moment the 24-year-old stumbled his way to the nearby Metro Petroleum service station desperate for assistance.
The footage shows the victim slumped down on the concrete while holding his T-shirt to his wound as bystanders make calls for help.
The man was able to stand and speak with police before being taken to hospital for surgery.
Police have confirmed they have not yet identified the male attacker.
