A 15-year-old girl is fighting for life and four other teens have been arrested after a crash involving an allegedly stolen car in Warranwood.

A group of teenagers have been arrested after an alleged stolen car was involved in a collision in Warranwood, leaving one of its occupants with life-threatening injuries.

The crash occurred about 8.45am on Friday when the allegedly stolen Toyota Camry collided with a Lexus SUV at the intersection of Wonga and Delaneys roads.

Emergency services found a 15-year-old girl from Ringwood inside the Camry with life-threatening injuries rushing her to hospital.

Four other occupants of the Toyota were seen fleeing the scene but were apprehended by police a short time later.

The occupants of the Lexus were unharmed.

It is believed the Camry was stolen from Flora Hill on Wednesday night.

A 17-year-old boy from Flora Hill has been charged with a range of serious offences, including dangerous driving causing serious injury, theft of a motor vehicle, and assault with a weapon.

He is set to face a children’s court at a later date.

In addition, a 16-year-old boy from Mooroolbark was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and failing to assist at an accident. He will also face a children’s court.

Two 13-year-old boys, one from Epsom and the other from Flora Hill, were released pending a summons.

The incident comes amid ongoing concerns about youth crime and the dangers of reckless driving in stolen vehicles.

Investigations into the crash are continuing, and police are urging anyone with further information to come forward.
