A punter who allegedly ran onto the field after Queensland’s epic State of Origin win in Townsville has been charged.

A Vincent man has been charged after he allegedly ran onto the field with his shirt off during the Women’s State of Origin decider in Townsville.
Just after Queensland declared victory at the full-time buzzer, the man, 24, allegedly ran onto the field in a pair of maroon shorts with no shirt on.
Two security guards were quick to take him to the ground before he was taken off the field.
Footage of the man shows him battling against the security guards and kicking into the air as he is led away.
The man was charged with entering onto a playing field or competition or performance area.
He is due to appear in court on July 14 and was released on bail.
