Two pedestrians struck in shocking hit-and-run on Flinders St, Townsville City

Police are investigating after two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident in Townsville City.

Police are investigating after two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident in Townsville City.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Flinders Street at around 3.40am following reports of a vehicle striking two male pedestrians.

Police said the driver of the vehicle involved did not remain at the scene, and investigations into what happened is underway.

Paramedics transported one stable patient to the Townsville University Hospital; the second patient declined QAS transport, according to Queensland Ambulance Service.
