A man in his 60s has tragically passed away after a suspected drowning at a popular beach on Magnetic Island.
Police said they were called to Alma Bay Beach just after 1pm on Tuesday, July 30, following reports of a sudden death.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, the man could not be revived.
Police have confirmed that the death is non-suspicious, but investigations are continuing and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
