Two people have been injured in a kitchen fire at a Townsville home, emergency services have confirmed.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Service said crews were called to reports of a blaze in the kitchen of a home in Blackthorn Street in Mount Low just after midday.
A QFES spokesman said two people had been injured but that the house fire had been bought under control.
Fire crews remained on scene to ensure the fire had not spread to the ceiling.
Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed that multiple crews had responded to the emergency at 12.04pm.
A QAS spokesman said two people had suffered smoke inhalation and been transported in stable conditions to Townsville University Hospital.
QAS crews also remained on scene, he said.
