Two people have been taken to hospital after being injured in a fight that broke out near a children’s playground in Townsville.
Police were called to a reported disturbance broke out among a group of people gathering near the playground at Cranbrook Park about 3.30pm on Saturday.
Officers located a man and woman who had sustained physical injuries that were believed to be involved in the reported disturbance at the park.
The pair were treated by paramedics at the scene and were taken to Townsville University Hospital in stable conditions.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
