The harrowing moment a masked man threatened to stab a woman with a syringe while robbing a convenience store in Heatley has been captured on CCTV.
Police responded to a robbery at the Heatley Fare Convenience Store at Fulham Rd, Heatley about 6.45pm on Tuesday.
Police said the man was armed with a syringe and threatened to stab a female staffer with it while demanding money.
He fled the scene on foot with a quantity of cash from the till.
The man is described as being about 180cm tall, with a solid build and fair complexion. He was wearing long black pants, a hooded jumper, sunglasses, a mask and cap.
About five hours later, another separate robbery reported to cops at the Ampol/Tropic Petroleum service station on Pilkington St, Garbutt about 11.50pm.
Police said a man entered the service station and threatened the male with what appeared to be an iron bar.
He stole a quantity of cash and cigarettes before fleeing in a beige Holden Captiva that was later dumped.
The man is described as being in his early 20s of an indigenous appearance, wearing a black T-shirt and white shorts.
Both offenders are still at large. Investigations are continuing.
