A 51-year-old man has been charged with arson after a house fire in Townsville on Sunday night.
Emergency services responded to reports a fire had started on a property along Bailey Street in Gulliver shortly before 8.30pm on Sunday.
Police allege upon arrival, a man was observed leaving the scene and they arrested him nearby.
The 51-year-old Condon man has been charged with one count of arson.
He is expected to appear at Townsville Magistrate Court on Monday, February 5.
No one was injured as a result of the fire.
