One of the city’s most anticipated festivals has been announced, with Aussie rock legends set to bring their biggest hits to the Townsville stage.
The Sounds of Rock music festival is back following last year’s success which saw hundreds of fans snatching up tickets to see their favourite artists.
Some iconic names have been secured for the event, with Hoodoo Gurus headlining with Daryl Braithwaite.
The Hoodoo Gurus, who are most known for their hit songs ‘What’s My Scene’ and ‘Bittersweet’ spent last year touring the country with their performances drawing in crowds at other festivals for 2025 including the Mundi Mundi Bash.
Braithwaite, who is loved for his classic tunes ‘One Summer’, ‘As The Days Go By’ and of course the iconic song, ‘The Horses’, also played Sounds of Rock in 2024.
Other favourites who will be heating up the North Queensland stage include The Angels, Mark Seymour and The Radiators.
The festival will be held at Cluden Park on September 13.
