A young girl was transported to Townsville University Hospital this afternoon after being bitten by a snake at her home.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics arrived at the Rasmussen residence just before 1pm to assess the girl in her mid to late teens for injury.
She was transported to hospital in a stable condition.
It is unknown what type of snake was involved.
