Shocking footage has captured the moment thieves ploughed a stolen car into a light pole, narrowly missing a group of pedestrians.
Police in Mount Isa are investigating after a car was stolen from a residence in Parkside on Friday night.
The offenders were later caught on CCTV reversing the stolen car and crashing it into a light pole along Abel Smith Parade about 5am on Saturday.
The footage shows a group of pedestrians standing nearby at the time of the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
