LIAM Paro has not been side tracked by the Paul-Fury circus as he prepares to put his name in lights on the world stage.
While the main event match has been changed mere weeks out from the fight night, with Tommy Fury pulling out of the fight to be replaced by Tyron Woodley, Paro (21-0, 13 KOs) has not lost focus of his goal during an intense 10-week training camp.

The undefeated North Queenslander, who will fight Puerto Rican Yomar Alamo on the undercard, has been tipped to steal the show from the main event.
Paro’s Australian promoter, Ace Boxing’s Angelo Di Carlo, said his charge had ‘worked his a--e off’ and was ready to take his chance.
“He is on fire,” Di Carlo said. “My son (Alfie) is over there with him, he is over there sharpening Liam up and getting him ready.
“The main event changing means nothing really to Liam. The simple fact is it will still be massive numbers. This opportunity is massive. You have people like Top Rank, PBC, Match Room all looking at this fight night, seeing what some of these undercard fighters can do.
“Absolutely he can steal the show. He is the third fight from the top and it is two undefeated fighters who understand this could bring them into the big time. A win should put him in a mandatory position for the world title, it will be huge.”
Paul, who acted quickly to replace Fury earlier this week, said it was crucial to give the undercard fighters the exposure they deserved.
It is understood Paul hand-picked every fighter to be on the card.
It will be Paro’s first time fighting in front of a hostile crowd, with the Florida natives expected to be right behind the undefeated Alamo (20-0-1, 12 KO's).
Di Carlo said the young fighter had mentally prepared himself for that fact as part of his training regimen along with picking some of the world’s best to spar against.
“There will be 25,000 packed into that arena, and where they are fighting is basically ‘little Puerto Rico’,” Di Carlo said.
“You have 150 countries that this fight night will be watched in, he is ready and he is pumped. He won’t let the fans down.
“He understands what he is walking into and he has prepared his mind for it. It doesn’t happen overnight, you are preparing a sportsman’s mind over the years. This is not something that has just come up, we have been working toward this moment for years.”
Paro has not lacked confidence leading into the bout and declared it would be a one-sided affair.
“It looks even on paper but as soon as that bell goes it’s going to look like a mismatch,” Paro told the Main Event Podcast.
“People that get in there underestimate my power until they feel it ... then they start running.
“I’m going to put the whole 140 division on notice and everyone knows this is going to be my division very soon.”
