Man ejected from ute in Bruce Highway crash, south of Home Hill

A man has been rushed to hospital after being thrown from a ute in a single-vehicle crash along the Bruce Hwy, south of Townsville. Here are the latest details.

A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being thrown from a ute in a single-vehicle crash along the Bruce Hwy, south of Townsville.

The Bruce Highway has reopened after a Mitsubishi Triton ute towing a trailer crashed about 5km south of Home Hill just after 10pm on Wednesday.

Queensland Police Service said there were three occupants in the ute and one man was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

He was transported by ambulance to Ayr Hospital in a stable condition, with non life-threatening injuries.

It is understood the other two occupants in the ute were not injured.

The crash closed the highway for a couple of hours on Wednesday night and both lanes have since reopened.
