A young woman and man have been rushed to hospital with stab wounds after a shocking alleged attack in the suburbs of Ingham overnight.

A young woman and man have been rushed to hospital with stab wounds after a shocking alleged attack in the suburbs of Ingham overnight.

District Duty Officer (DDO) Ben Walsh said police were called to a domestic disturbance where a young woman and man were stabbed with a knife on Berwick St, Ingham, at about 10pm on Friday.

The pair were taken to Ingham hospital with minor stab wounds to the arm.

Police have taken a man in his 30s into custody in relation to the alleged incident.

Ambulance crews were also called to assist an elderly man at the scene, who was not involved in the altercation, after he experienced a medical episode.

“He appears to have had some medical condition and required CPR to be performed on him,” Mr Walsh said.

“He was taken to hospital and was pronounced deceased not long afterwards.”
