G Flip and Harry Grant enjoy everything Townsville has to offer during different events in the city

Townsville has had a star studded weekend with one of Australia’s biggest musicians and a national rugby league representative spending a couple of days living the high life in the north.

Townsville has had a star studded weekend with one of Australia’s biggest musicians and a national rugby league representative spending a couple of days living the high life in the north.

Multi-talented artist G Flip, or known to their friends as Georgia Claire Flipo, posted a video to social media on Monday showcasing what they labelled an “insanely fun” weekend in Townsville.

“Had one of the best weekends with my day one besties who have been coming to my shows and screaming front row since I was 14 years old,” the caption read.

The singer songwriter and their long time friends took advantage of Townsville’s five star hotel and enjoyed time on the North Queensland waters.

“Thank you Ardo Hotel for the memories, that was so insanely fun,” they wrote.

“Everyone, Townsville is totally underrated.”

This isn’t the first time this year the muso has made their way north, following a showstopping performance at this year’s Townsville 500 Supercars.

G Flip wasn’t the only notable Aussie public figure taking in the view from the Ardo rooftop on the weekend, with Australian rugby league representative Harry Grant also jetting up for a friends event.

Cowboys fullback Scott Drinkwater posted an Instagram story on Saturday of the Melbourne Storm hooker at Ardo rooftop soaking up some afternoon sun.

It has been a year since the Ardo opened its doors, with Townsville VIPs such as cowboys legend Kyle Feldt and social media influencer Holly Newman from Townsville Eats taking advantage of the high class hotel.
