Everybody loves The Wiggles – and Hollywood royalty is no exception.
Acting legend Robert De Niro enjoyed a special backstage visit with the beloved Aussie group at the weekend, attending their sold-out Bouncing Balls show at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre with his family.
It was a full-circle moment for the 81-year-old star, who first met the original Wiggles more than 20 years ago.
This time, he reunited with original Blue Wiggle Anthony Field who introduced him to the next generation, including his daughter and fellow Wiggle Lucia.
The group performed a private mini-show for the De Niros, singing favourites Hot Poppin’ Popcorn, Rock-A-Bye Your Bear and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
De Niro then enjoyed the main show with his daughter Gia.
In recent interviews, the Zero Day actor admitted he doesn’t watch as many movies as he used to because he’s too busy watching TV with his daughter.
The Wiggles will return to Australia next month for the final leg of their Bouncing Balls tour, hitting Melbourne from July 24–27.
