TERRITORY Alliance received tens of thousands more in donations than the CLP in the last year, with the fledgling party having a multi-millionaire Victorian barrister among its supporters.
Northern Territory Electoral Commission electoral returns, released late yesterday afternoon, revealed NT Labor continues to earn the largest share of donations among political parties in the Territory.
NT Labor received $359, 496 worth of declarable donations in the last financial year, up $212,888 from the end of March.
Territory Alliance received $131,562 in the same time frame, with 70 per cent of that arriving in the last three months.
Territory Alliance’s largest donor is “AJ Myers campaign” based in Collins St, Melbourne, better known as Allan Myers AC QC, a well-renowned philanthropist and barrister that has represented the likes of Kerry Stokes, Alan Bond, Andrew Forrest and Gina Rinehart.

Mr Myers helped found the Grattan Institute, is the former president of the National Gallery of Victoria and in 2014 was estimated to be worth $700m.
Territory Alliance leader Terry Mills confirmed Mr Myers was a long-time personal friend.
He has donated $35,000 to the party so far.
The CLP have taken in about $102,344 in the last financial year, a bulk of that coming from their own candidates.
But individual candidates are also receiving donations directly, with CLP Fannie Bay candidate Tracey Hayes leading the pack with $35,980 followed by CLP leader Lia Finocchiaro with $21,100 and Ban Fracking Fix Crime Protect Water’s Braedon Earley with $14,234.

Trade union the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association is NT Labor’s largest donor, pouring $30,000 into the party.
Next is Henrey Yap, donating $22,000 then North West Construction Pty Ltd, owned by Darwin’s Randazzo family, which donated $20,000 to NT Labor.
The Maritime Union of Australia gave NT Labor $11,000 and the Community and Public Sector Union donated $4068.
