A young North-West farmer and father is being remembered as a “loveable larrikin” who lived life to the fullest.

Vincent Curtain, 26, died in a single-vehicle incident at Woolnorth early on January 31.

His twin sister Ella Curtain said Vincent had grown up on a beef farm at Montagu and fulfilled an ambition to become a farm manager on a dairy property at Woolnorth.

“As children Vincent was scared of cattle and would walk closer to the fence for a quick get-away while having me walk beside him closer to the cattle as protection,” Ms Curtain said.

“Vincent was a skilled sportsman in anything he picked up. Tennis, basketball, golf, cricket, hockey and he excelled in football.”

A Sydney Swans supporter, Mr Curtain won many best and fairest awards playing with the Redpa Football Club and also hockey.

“He hoped that one day his son Renley, who is two years old, would play for them as it was also his partner Bonnie’s late father Nathan’s football team as well.

“Vincent was very proud of Renley and doted on him.

“He was a loveable larrikin with a cheeky grin and will be remembered as living life to the fullest with a passion for those he loved.

“He loved the water, fishing and taking his jetski out at Crayfish Beach and Montagu.”

Ms Curtain thanked people who have sent their condolences and support “in this extremely hard time”.

She has set up a gofundme page to help his partner and son.

“Vincent was a devoted partner and father, and his passing has left a void that cannot be filled,” Ms Curtain said.

“Bonnie and Renley are now facing the challenges of adjusting to life without him, and any donations will go directly to supporting them as they navigate this painful journey.

“Thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this heartbreaking time.

“Your kindness means the world to us.”
