Recognising the potential for growth within the Townsville region, Stansure Strata has secured a new office in Hyde Park to continue growing its strata management and body corporate services.

Founded in Kedron, Brisbane in 1998, the Stansure Strata has built a reputation for extensive industry knowledge and professionalism, primarily assisting their clients to be compliant with the body corporate legislation, while also exploring new opportunities for potential savings and services.

After operating out of regional areas like Bundaberg, Rockhampton, and Mount Isa, Stansure Strata co-chief executive officer Lisa Tichborne said it was a “natural progression” for the business to expand into Townsville in 2022.

“We provide professional services to our body corporate clients to assist them to manage their obligations, according to their legislation. We provide administrative, secretarial financial services to our clients … (and) provide administrative, secretarial financial services to our clients,” Ms Tichborne said.

“We believe there’s a great deal of opportunity in the Townsville region. There’s a lot of body corporate schemes in Townsville and there’s a lot of clients that we’re really looking forward to working with, and growing and expanding.”

She said buying other portfolios was a good way of growing a body corporate business.

“We had the opportunity to buy two within two years in Townsville,” she said.

“They came to our attention and we very happily took those on … in the Townsville and Magnetic Island area.”

After previously operating out of Kingsberry Harcourts’ office, following the purchase of its body corporate business, she said their growing operation required larger premises, which also helped separate Stansure as its own entity.

The business settled on a premium tenancy with high-end established fit-out on the ground floor of the office building at 113 Charters Towers Rd, Hyde Park – signing a five year lease.

Prior to relocating into the new space in August, Ms Tichborne said they worked with local contractors on remodelling work to fit-out the meeting rooms and areas where their team would be working.

“We’d been looking for about five months and we hadn’t been able to find anything that’s quite right,” she said.

“We thought it was perfect when we saw it. It’s a very professional looking premises, and really good amenities for our team and our visitors to our office.

“We’ll have six team members (in the new office) but we may also expand on that.”

The property was leased with support from Colliers Townsville.
