A specialist police unit has made 20 arrests in just three days as part of a targeted crime crackdown in the West Daly Region.
The Northern Territory Police Force’s Fugitive Task Force was deployed to the region this week, working alongside local officers to track down repeat offenders and address outstanding criminal matters.
During the operation, officers also served two domestic violence orders and assisted in multiple cases involving serious offences, including aggravated assault, breach of bail, and outstanding warrants.
Acting Commander Drew Slape said the task force remained focused on tackling high-risk offenders.
“We will continue to pursue those who have outstanding matters and present ongoing risks to community safety,” he said.
The FTF was established in December 2024 to enhance police efforts in targeting recidivist offenders and strengthening community safety.
