Work flown to hospital after suffering head injury at Dunmore feedlot

A Toowoomba region feedlot worker was airlifted after suffering a serious head injury from a falling pole.

A man aged in his 30s suffered a head injury after he was struck by a metal pole at a Dunmore feedlot.

Emergency services, including the Toowoomba LifeFlight aeromedical crew, were called to the feedlot west of Toowoomba about 11.30am on Wednesday.

It is understood the pole fell and struck the man on the back of his head.

Paramedics and the aeromedical crew treated the man at the scene before transporting him to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
