Terri Irwin has stunned fans with a rarely seen throwback photo from her 1992 wedding to late husband Steve, leaving social media spiralling over just how the couple’s son looks like his Crocodile Hunter father.
Marking what would have been their 33rd wedding anniversary, the Wildlife Warrior matriarch posted the rare snap of her and Steve at their wedding in Oregon, and for once, the famous duo weren’t wearing khaki.
In the photo, a 27-year-old Terri is seen in a flowing lace wedding gown with long sleeves, her hair down and wearing a matching flower crown and bouquet.
Beside her, a clean-shaven 30-year-old Steve wearing in a black suit with a matching boutonniere, is the doppelganger of his now adult son.
“Today, 33 years ago, Steve and I were married in my grandmother’s church in Oregon. And it was the first day of my happily ever after,” Terri wrote on Instagram.
“Every day I wake up with beautiful memories, so much love in my heart, and the promise of continuing his incredible legacy. I am truly blessed”️.
But while the tribute left fans emotional, it was the likeness between Steve and Robert that really stole the spotlight.
“I thought that was Robert — holy cow!” one follower exclaimed.
Another added, “My God, doesn’t Robert look just like him!!”
Their daughter Bindi also chimed in with her own emotional post: “The best parents and true soulmates. Love you both beyond description. ️”
The post comes 18 years after Steve’s tragic death in 2006, when he was fatally struck by a stingray barb while filming a documentary off the coast of Queensland.
