State Lawyers Warn The Premier’s Youth Justice Laws Won’t Have Significant Effect 28/02/2023

The central elements of Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk youth justice laws will not have “any significant effect” on crime rates, according to the state’s lawyers have warned.

Queensland LNP Senator Matt Canavan warned hydrogen was being used as “smoke screen for shutting down coal”, putting jobs and livelihoods at risk.

It has been touted as a replacement to coal in the future but just one of 48 proposed hydrogen projects in recent years has been committed to by proponents so far.

The number of people hospitalised for Covid in Queensland is on the rise, just as a new investigation by a key US government agency has revealed the pandemic was most likely caused by a leak from a laboratory in China.
