Motorists heading out of Brisbane are again facing massive delays after a crash on the Bruce Highway north of the city.

Drivers travelling northbound towards North Lakes have faced delays of more than 30 minutes for most of the morning after an earlier crash at Murrumba Downs.

Queensland Ambulance Service took three stable patients to Caboolture Hospital following the crash at 9.30.

It comes after traffic chaos on Thursday with a mass exodus unfolding across Brisbane ahead of the Easter Long Weekend.

Drivers were affected on the Gateway Motorway northbound and on the Pacific Motorway southbound.
