Brisbane man dies after Christmas Day crash near Cedar Grove

A Brisbane man has died in hospital after a horror Christmas Day crash south of the city.

An elderly Brisbane man has died in hospital after a crash on the Mt Lindesay Highway near Cedar Grove on Christmas Day.

The 83-year-old man from Tarragindi, in Brisbane’s south, was flown to hospital after the crash, but died in hospital on Boxing Day.

Police say the accindent occurred at the intersection of Bamboo Drive and the Mount Lindesay Highway about 4.10pm on December 25.

A woman in her 80s was taken to Logan Hospital with abdominal and back injuries. A third patient, a man in his 20 was assessed on scene with minor injuries but declined transport to hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has dashcam vision of the crash or the moments leading up to it, is encouraged to contact police.
