New England Hwy closed in both directions after serious truck crash
Emergency services have cut through a truck windscreen to free a driver after a collision forced highway closures at Hodgson Vale.
A truck driver has been rushed to hospital after a collision with a car shortly before 7.30pm on Thursday on the New England Hwy at Hodgson Vale south of Toowoomba.
Emergency services were forced to cut through the windscreen to extricate the driver from the truck before paramedics transported the truck driver to hospital.
Police closed the highway in both directions at the intersection of Hodgson Vale Rd and Luck Rd due to diesel spilling on the road.
The highway reopened just before 10pm.
