Four offenders are on the run after the ram-raid of a shop south of Brisbane.

Police were called to Marsden Gifts and Convenience Store at Browns Plains Rd at Marsden about 12.50am after reports a black Range Rover had been driven into the front of the business.

Police allege four offenders gained access to the shop stealing an unknown amount of goods before fleeing in an SUV.

“The offenders then left the scene in the same vehicle in a westbound direction on Browns Plains Road,” a QPS spokesman said.

“Anyone who may have information, CCTV vision or dashcam to assist the investigation is urged to come forward.”

Investigations into the incident are continuing.

Store worker Tony Bliss told The Courier Mail she arrived at 8am to police and the door of the store shattered.

“The shop was broken into only a few weeks ago, I think they have come here thinking it was a tobacco store,” she said.

“We only just replaced the door two weeks ago, the same thing happened.

Ms Bliss said that cash was taken from the till on site.

The shop sells a range of plush toys, food and drink items and other collectables.

The incident took place next to Marsden Veterinary Surgery. On the other side of the wall where the break-in happened was the cat recovery ward.

The rescue kittens were not there at the time, but upon arrival the head vet discovered one inpatient kitten which was petrified.
